Jeffrey Munroe: ‘Stories in the Dark … and Psalms in the summer sun’ (Thanks for the recognition, Christian Century!)

One of the frequent questions we get at Front Edge is: “Do you publish poetry?”

The answer is: Sometimes. After all, for many decades, national polls show that the most popular book in the entire Bible is Psalms, the ancient Hebrew song book. Poetry is such a natural part of spiritual life that lines of poetry appear in many of the books we have published since our founding. So, we are celebrating this week with Jeffrey Munroe—author of the popular new book Telling Stories in the Dark—to learn that his perfectly pitched summertime poem Glory was chosen as this month’s poetry selection by the editors of the venerable journal of Christian news and reflection, The Christian Century.
