Celebrating our most successful author-podcaster: Howard Brown hits 100 episodes and 200,000 downloads

By DAVID CRUMM
Co-founder of Front Edge Publishing

Since our founding in 2007, Front Edge has urged our authors to branch out through social media in all formats—and we have seen authors active in every format from Pinterest to podcasting.

Our most consistent in 2024 is Howard Brown, who hasn’t missed a weekly podcast deadline in 100 episodes—which puts him in a tiny minority among the several million people who have launched podcasts over the past decade or so.

There’s no secret to the growth of his audience: Howard keeps his podcasts short; he pre-plans his interviews so they move smoothly—and he always ensures that this episodes leave readers with an inspirational—and often a very practical—”takeaway.”

This week, we’re all celebrating Howard’s twin milestones—which just happened to coincide: 100 episodes and more than 200,000 downloads by listeners.

Howard explains in the following podcast: “This is a special solo episode. For those of you who have been tuning in and have been touched by my broadcasts, I intend to educate, motivate and inspire every single week—and another milestone I’ve hit is 200,000 downloads of these podcasts so there is a lot to celebrate right now.”
