Good news travels fast!
And, good news about traveltravels even faster!

The process of launching this book has been—well, it’s been amazing.

I was impressed this week when I learned that friends in Switzerland encouraged Orell Füssli to carry my book. Most Americans may not recognize that name, but it’s one of the world’s oldest publishing-and-bookselling companies, founded way back in 1519! I had to smile when I visited their online store—and there’s my book listed for sale.

Of course, Switzerland is one of the places I write about in this book—and there are sections about so many other destinations around the world. What I’m discovering as I talk to more and more readers, now, is that there’s some place in this book that almost all readers can connect with.

And, that is what they’re doing as they read—and then they want to tell someone about their connection.

That’s why I wrote this book—to spark conversations. And, I’m so pleased that people are doing just that—they’re engaging with the ideas in the book. They’re not only reading the book—they want to talk about the ideas they find in the book.

I don’t think an author can ask for more than that.

I’m also thankful for so many friends who are helping to tell people about the book. This week, we’re just seeing Bill Tammeus’s review of the book—thanks Bill!

Of course, I want to thank so many people, like Bill, who are spreading the word.

I’m also trying to do all I can to get the word out. I’m scheduled to appear on a bunch of podcasts in coming months. I’m booking appearances to talk with groups in person. And, well—I’m just thankful that all of this is happening, because I think it’s good for our world to connect with each other in positive new ways.

So, then, here are quick answers to the main questions I’m hearing these days:

Q: Where can I order this book?

Answer: This book is available wherever good books are sold online across North America and around the world, including: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart and Powell’s. And globally? If you’re in Europe, now you can start with—Orell Füssli.

Q: How can I get in touch with DouG?

Answer: Visit him via his Substack site, where you can send him a message and consider joining his more than 800 other subscribers. (NOTE: Although Substack asks for payment from subscribers, there’s also a free option—and Doug offers all of his columns via free distribution.)

Q: And where is that free excerpt?

As we reported earlier: To spark interest in the book (which is published by Reformed Journal Books), Doug and Reformed Journal Editor Jeffrey Munroe decided to publish an online excerpt from a chapter about the wonders that travelers can discover in exploring different languages around the world.
